So here I was in Digg...looking at how scientists are finding the possibilities of time travel...only to tell us that it revolves around bending time into an almost infinite circle. Wait a second...didn't we already cover this with the "string theory" talked about in that amazing late eighties, early nineties show, "Quantum Leap?"
It got me to thinking...wasn't somebody talking about doing a movie?
Man, I miss that show...who wouldn't like to time travel in their lifetime...relive things...or even talk to yourself as someone else, and give yourself one heck of a piece of advice? Believe me when I tell you, there is a lot of things I would go back and tell myself.
Anyway, Dean Stockwell, Scott Bakula...two actors that probably couldn't be "re" portrayed...and why not capture them before they get too much older? I read a site that was done back in 2004 that talked about various plot lines for the movie, bringing back the originals, tossing in Sam's (Bakula's character) daughter trying to locate him (those of us who watched the series probably remembers that Sam lept off the radar to help others).
Lets look back...thus far they've remade, Charlies Angels, Dukes of Hazzard, Leave it to Beaver, Little Rascals, recently, MIAMI VICE...They are remaking the series Bionic Woman, and attempted to remake Dragnet...sure there are others, but I'm rambling so just let it go...SO why not do a movie or bring back the series?
Sure, I'll probably never get this answered til you can find someone to create a great script...and a willing producer...along with the sign-ons from the original cast...and a large fan base wanting this to happen.

This would be one of the best movies ever if they had everyone return for a Quantum Leap movie. I wished they'd do one, but sadly I don't see it happening.
There has been some talk and QuantumLeapMovie.com is registered, but showing the default HostGator page.
As far as I have heard, the quantum leap movie was due to be released at the Quantum Leap's 20th anniversary festival in Los Angeles called 'Leap Back".
The film its self is a fanmovie, so while it wont have the big budget of the other endless remakes that hollywood is doing at the minute, it will be free.
However, the film centers on princess Dianna in paris in 1997.
